As a Residential House Parent (couples welcome!) you will be mentoring and developing the independent living skills of Multi-System Youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.  Residential House Parents are role models for these individuals and will impact their successful transition into independent living. House Parents lead these youth in identifying and developing life skills and in positively integrating into the community.


  • Full paid housing including rent and utilities
  • Daily stipend, (minimum $200/day)
  • Independent contractor status

  • Mileage reimbursement

 Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Secondary coursework in child development or related coursework a plus
  • Experience as a therapeutic foster parent not required, but preferred
  • Minimum of three years prior social service experience in children's services, behavioral health and/or IDD (intellectual developmental disabilities)
  • Valid driver's license*
  • Valid auto-insurance
  • Must pass pre-employment background and drug/alcohol screening

 *Multi-system youth are children and teenagers with complex needs that cannot be met by a single state department.

**If not Ohio, must achieve Ohio driver's license within 1 month.
